Most McFermoir leather comes from Belgium, Germany, and Italy. Vegetable-tanned according to strict European environmental standards. This leather retains its natural properties and develops a warm appearance through use.

Sustainable MycaNova®
In 2024, McFermoir introduced the world’s first doctor’s bags made from sustainable mycelium. This innovative material is 100% plant-based, biodegradable, and has a lower ecological footprint than traditional leather.
Available in the McFermoir Vegan collection in white and black.

Each McFermoir bag is handmade in workshops in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, and Spain. These workshops have been making bags for over 50 years – you can see and feel that experience in every product.
From cutting the leather to stitching the seams: every detail is crafted by hand. No mass production, every detail receives the attention it deserves.
Natural characteristics of the leather – color variations, leather structure, small imperfections – make each bag unique. Through use, your bag gains its own character.
WARRANTY
